Peak District: Creep Extension

Over the Previous weekend Dan Warren succeeded on a cool looking link at The Tube, this links the start of Dawn Raider into Creep, to give Creep Extension Font8a. Over 30 moves, and something of a horizontal Staminaband. Looks like hard work. Well done that man.

Peak District: Andronicus 8a+/b

Dawid Skoczylas (aka Polish Dave) has completed his roof project in the small cave a couple of minutes up the road from Stoney Middleton. The line involves "Wild and crazy moves - slapping, guppying, crimping, underclinging, twisting, torquing..."

Peak District: Raven Tor Addition

Ru Davies reports a new line at Raventor courtesy of Steve Mclure.

Fat Lip (Font 8a+?) This is the continuation lip traverse from the end of Weedkiller traverse, but starting in the jug under the roof near the end of Weedkiller (as per the 7c roof problem), going to the lip, then traversing left to finish up at the jugs at the end of Ben's Roof (ie finishing as per Keen Roof). Steve says it must be harder than 8a, hence the 8a+ above, and that it's amazing.

Just a quick word of thanks to Simon Panton and Jon Fullwood for there input/creation of the elite tick lists for both Wales and the Peak respectively. Thanks guys!!

Lake District Area: Aeons Repeated

Over the Bank Holiday weekend I managed to drag myself there and back across the Aeon buttress at Fairy Steps (Lancashire) to finally (after 7 sessions!) grab myself an ascent of the John Gaskins' limestone link-up Aeons (Font8a+).

Whilst both traverses have individually been repeated I believe this to be the first repeat of the there and back link-up, although Mersyside based strongman Mick Adams may have repeated it a few years ago although we'll have to see if all rules were adhered too, as the jug on the arete left of the final crack is considered out of bounds - this has put pay to atleast two claimed repeats of the reverse of Aeon (7c+). There's a few images below (click for full size)...
